Students are required to bring the following items
- Pencil and paper
- Eye Protection
- Firearms - The law states that you must safely
load and unload both a revolver and pistol and demonstrate your
marksmanship with both see RSMo
571.111 2.(2). So we are
requiring that students bring both a pistol and revolver if they own both. They are
also required to bring ammunition for both. The live fire portion
will consist of a minimum of 100 rounds and since you have to shoot both
a revolver and a pistol they will need to bring ammunition for
both. If the student does not have both a revolver and pistol
we can provide them one for a small fee.
- Eye Protection
- Hearing Protection
- Pencil and Paper
- Ammunition - As stated above the student is required to shoot
both a revolver and pistol. They will need to bring a minimum
of 80 rounds (40 for revolver and 40 for semi_auto pistol) of ammunition for their revolver and
pistol. It is recommended to bring 50 rounds for each firearm. If the student does not have both a pistol and
revolver then they will need to bring a minimum of 50 rounds for both a pistol and revolver
for whichever firearm they own.
- Pistols and Revolvers MUST be brought to the firing line in a case or container and unloaded.
There will be NO loaded firearms unless on the firing line and the range officer has given the command to load. NOTE:
That the case or container stated above would also mean to have the firearm in some sort of bag Ie. paper sack, pillow
case or wrapped in a towel. This requirement is to prevent a person pointing a firearm at another person.
